Mid September Update

This seems like a good time for an update, since it's mid month and I'm coming in off the heels of the release of my short at the beginning of the month.

I'm making good progress on my next story, 'Repopulated.' According to the outline, I'm about 70% of the way through, but I'm not sure whether I believe it.

Unlike my last story, it's jam packed full of explicit dickgirl sex, so if that's your sort of thing, I'm going all in on it this time.

I also have a scene I decided to drop that might make for an interesting one off short after the story is complete to drum up interest in the main story line. I'm vaguely considering writing that and posting it for free around when the story is out on Amazon.

I kind of like that idea, but we'll see how I feel about it once I get to the end of the story!

If I can finish in ~10K words I'll release this as a short, but otherwise it'll probably be a novella. It's hard to say exactly which way it's going to swing at the moment - I never really know until I get closer.

If I can keep up this rate of progress I might hit something unprecedented for me - a release every month since June, which would be insane. Insanely awesome, that is!

Here's the first draft of the Synopsis to whet your appetite! Look forward to it!

Repopulated Synopsis

"Katie’s dull job as a barista abruptly ends when the aliens decide to invade, shutting down the city. Terror hits the streets as slug-like aliens begin to control the local populace, leaving her to fend for herself along with her lover, Jackie, as they do their best to dodge the alien’s insidious control.

Their escape is short lived, however, and they soon find themselves captured and dominated, wearing new alien organs that serve to enhance their sexual functions. Overwhelmed with pleasure, they explore each other’s bodies, learning more about themselves and their master’s future plans for the human race.

Resisting their influence was never an option. The only way to make a new future for each other is to accept the changes and thread a subversive path in order to find a way to overthrow their new alien overlords - or submit to the rapture and accept that their struggle will soon be over."

'Bugged Out' has been released! (+ 'Bull Moon' price reduction!)

I'm pleased to announce that 'Bugged Out' has been released on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited!

Amazon.com: Bugged Out eBook : Waters, Caroline

You might notice that this story doesn't have any smut in it. Does that mean I'm getting away from writing smut? No, not at all. I just didn't feel like this one needed it. It's heavy into transformation and mind control, with a side of body horror.

On a side note, I've dropped the price for 'Bull Moon' from 5$ to 4$. I haven't been all that comfortable with the price of that story lately, so I decided to bring it in line with the price of 'Droneship.' If you haven't given it a read yet, I do recommend it! There's plenty of breast expansion, milking, and demon cow transformation fun to be had!

Synopsis

Going on a hike with her friend shouldn’t have been this frightening. Lori might not like her friend’s choice in husbands, and his dog was more than a little annoying, but spending time in the fresh air usually was a rejuvenating experience.

Sure, there was always the chance of an encounter with wild animals, but she hadn’t expected to be confronted by a stranger that looked like he had a gigantic beetle lodged in his throat.

And she certainly hadn’t expected a beetle parasite to embed itself in her brain, telling her where to go and what to do.

As her body is slowly converted into a beetle hybrid, she struggles to understand the sarcophagus sent to her in a vision. Its brightly colored death mask and the paintings on the walls must mean something, but only her friend holds the key.

Perhaps some of the beetles nesting in her body can convince Pastel to tell the truth - before the Doom seizes them all!

First draft of 'Bugged Out' has been completed!

My next story, 'Bugged Out,' is ready for editing, coming in at around 37K words. I'm going to sell this one as a 'short', which is somewhat laughable given how long it is. I'm also considering lowering the price for 'Bull Moon' by a dollar as well, to get it in line with 'Droneship,' which has done rather better than I had expected.

Stay tuned for an announcement on that when I get this story released, which will likely be either the week of the 3rd or the 10th. At the moment, I think it's more likely to happen earlier, but plans can always change depending on how the editing goes.

This story is derived from the list of story outlines I put together December of last year. There are three additional story outlines from that time that I haven't gotten to yet, and I think I've decided that the next one will be 'Repopulated,' a small, fun tale about an alien invasion with slug like parasites.

In some ways, that might be considered similar to this story, but 'Bugged Out' has something unusual about it, which readers may not like - it's a pure parasite/MC story, but there are no smutty elements involved with it.

I'm not sure when I realized that was where it was headed, but once I was halfway done, I decided it didn't really need any of those elements. Does that make it a weaker story? Possibly, but I'll let the readers be the judge of that.

Effectively, it's all about the body horror and the mind control, so I leaned into that as hard as I could. I think, overall, it has some interesting twists, so I do hope that my regular fans will enjoy it!

As far as that goes, I consider this to be an experiment, one which may or may not be repeated depending upon how successful it is and where my muse takes me. I'm excited to get it done and released!

Synopsis

"Proxima Nine is a long way to travel to a resort world with acquaintances she doesn’t know well, but Hazel has secret plans to use their destination to increase her own virtual fan base. This gets upended when their cruise liner is picked up by a patrol vessel and everyone is removed for a customs check.
This is no military vessel, however, as all of the agents are wearing skintight latex dronesuits, which have long since been outlawed by the AI Accords. Soon, they are being chased through maintenance tunnels, doing their best to avoid being trapped and converted into brainless drones by a ruthless AI, which will stop at nothing to protect its existence.

As she learns more about its goals, however, she finds it increasingly difficult to resist the allure of the drones around her. Conforming with them seems so much more pleasurable than resisting, especially when the machine promises her the power she desires."

'Droneship' editing has been completed!

Because I am nuts, I finished the editing for Droneship within three days. That was more of a marathon than I was counting on, but it's done!

I'll be doing the formatting tomorrow, and submitting it to Amazon on Thursday. That could mean for a Friday release date. Look forward to my next post where I announce the details!

First draft of 'Droneship' has been completed!

I'm excited to announce that I have completed the first draft of my next novella, 'Droneship!'

Coming in at 60K words, it's almost closer to a novel than a novella, but since I released my last book with novel pricing, I'm going to compromise and release this one with novella pricing. This probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but in some way I feel like I'm 'squaring' something in my mind!

At 144 pages, this is practically as long as 'Bull Moon' in many respects, so I consider it likely that it will take a full week to edit, if I really put my nose to the grindstone. No promises, but I would like to aim for a release somewhere the week of the 14th. That might come earlier or slip a bit depending on how fast I can get through it.

This story was a product of me wanting to spend some more time brainwashing people into robotic drones (always a lot of fun). I couldn't resist the story idea after I outlined it, so I slipped it into the schedule. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about my other story ideas.

In fact, the next one on the docket is more of a buggy/squicky/horror story that I mentioned at the beginning of the year, previously titled 'The Lump.' I decided that was a lame title, so going forward, I'm going to call it 'Bugged Out,' and it will be a nasty little tale about women getting taken over by beetle-like parasite creatures and turned into their breeding nests. Less sex and more mind control/horror this go around.

I already have the cover art finished for this one, but I've decided going forward that I'm only going to release cover art after a book has been accepted by Amazon, as I don't want to start advertising too soon.

Switching back to 'Droneship', below is the synopsis I've cooked up. It's subject to change before release, of course, but it should give you an idea of what awaits!

Synopsis

"Proxima Nine is a long way to travel to a resort world with acquaintances she doesn’t know well, but Hazel has secret plans to use their destination to increase her own virtual fan base. This all gets upended when their cruise liner is picked up by a patrol vessel and everyone is removed for a customs check.

This is no military vessel, however, as all of the agents are wearing skin tight dronesuits, which have long since been outlawed by the AI Accords. Soon, they are being chased through maintenance tunnels, doing their best to avoid being trapped and converted into more brainless drones by a ruthless AI, which will stop at nothing to protect its existence.

As she learns about its goals, she finds it more and more difficult to resist the sexy allure of the drones all around her. Conforming with the others seems so much more pleasurable than resisting, especially when wrapped within one of its erotic latex suits."

First draft of 'Bull Moon' has been completed!

Writing at about double my usual pace since last week, I've managed to complete 'Bull Moon' in about half the time I was expecting. It came in at about 63K words, which is close enough to novel length that I'm currently planning on charging novel price for it.

Since my last novel was about 100K, I consider this to be pretty fair. I tend to write long, and I spend a lot of time doing this, so sometimes that's just the way it's got to work out.

That being said, I'm going to take a short break before I start on the editing, as there is a solid ~150 pages to get through. In the meantime, I'll be starting my next story, 'Droneship,' a fun tale about a robot ship that turns its female passengers into robotic drones with the help of various bondage and interfacing devices.

I'm hoping to get 'Bull Moon' out before the end of the month, so stay tuned!

Late June Update

Target of Corruption has done fairly well for me this month (vs my past ebooks). Thanks to everyone who has purchased or read it so far!

A very special thanks to the anonymous person who left a review! After self publishing eight novels, five novellas, and one short story, it's only the second one I've ever received, which is kind of a bummer! If you find that you like what I write, consider leaving one, it really helps, and it makes me feel good about all the work I do to produce these stories!

I'm currently in the middle of my next story, titled 'Bull Moon,' involving summoning rituals, latex/goth/cow transformations, demon bulls, and plenty of breeding (with some breast expansion and milking to boot!)  Currently, it's shaping up to be a novella, and I'm already close to 40K words in. Given that, I expect it to be done at around 50-55K, and depending on how it all goes, it may be ready for a mid July release.

Here's the preliminary synopsis below, to whet your appetite!

Bull Moon Synopsis

"After conducting a ritual her friend found online, Selene is astounded to discover the bull’s head that subsequently appears on the surface of the moon. Before she can escape, she is drawn into the demon lord Hygraxus’ realm, her body rapidly changing into that of one of his concubines.

First draft of 'Target of Corruption' has been completed!

I've just had a sprint to the finish on 'Target Of Corruption,' hitting 107,000 words yesterday to cap off the epilogue. I wrote almost 10,000 words in the last 4 days, which was a bit of a marathon, but I was so close, I wanted to see it done!

Projects have this curious tendency to have several stages: at the start, a burst of productivity because the project is new, then a lull happens when you're about 1/3 of the way done, which you have to push to get through. After that, it's just steady progress until you get close to the end, where it becomes a slog and you just want it to be done.

This can either be demotivating, or extremely motivating. In this case, it was the latter, and I pushed through, getting it complete before I had anticipated.

So what does this mean for the future? Well, it's good and bad news, as 107K will take an extremely long time to edit. I'm guessing that this novel won't be released until the back half of June, at the earliest, which is a bummer. I'll see what I can do to get through it faster, but no promises! I want to do a good job with it.

In the meantime, I've started the prep work for the next project, which I'm going to start writing today. I've looked through the various options, and have decided to pick up an outline for a story that I put together over the Christmas break:

Bull Moon - "Two women get involved with the Bull/Minotaur demon, Hygraxus, who slowly corrupts them into his demonic milking cows."

This story has a limited number of scenes, so I'm hoping I can get through it faster than 'Target Of Corruption.'

Depositphotos has added a new feature that allows you to remove the background from most stock photos before you download them, which has saved me a tremendous amount of time in creating story covers over the last few I've made.

That being the case, I've already put together a prototype cover for 'Bull Moon', but I'm going to hold onto it until I get closer to release. I'm hoping that story will be somewhere below novella length, but I tend to write long, so we'll see!

I also have a tremendous amount of other ideas kicking around, one titled 'Droneship', which turned into a long outline that appears to be novel length. I created a cover for it, but I don't expect I'll be able to pick that one up until later this year.

It should be another good year for writing!

Mid May Update

Time for another update!

I don't really have all that much to report at the moment. Progress continues apace on 'Target of Corruption', and I am continuing to meet my writing goal each day.

The novel has grown to ~82,000 words, and I am currently in the middle of writing the finale. This final mighty battle will decide the fate of all the characters, and I want to get it right!

Once this scene is complete, all I have left is the epilogue, which I've already written a short section of  (I had some good ideas, so I skipped ahead a bit to give it a kickstart).

It's growing larger than I had anticipated, but to say that I didn't guess that this might happen wouldn't be truthful of me. This always happens.

A very rough estimate is that it'll take about another 10K words to complete (10 days), so realistically, the novel isn't going to come out until next month. Bummer.

On the other hand, I am pleased to say that I've finished working with the artist I commissioned, and the cover is now complete. I will reveal it at release, as this time I don't want to give anything away too soon. The art is quite good, so I hope you'll look forward to it!

The path is clear, all I must do now is execute! Hopefully by the time I write the next update, I'll have the novel done and posted for all to enjoy!
