Post-Tick Tock Round Up

Thank you to everyone who has picked up Tick Tock! It was a novel that took a lot longer than I had hoped to produce, and it's gratifying to see how many people are reading it!

The run is not quite over yet for stories in the Nine to Hive universe, as I am currently in the middle of editing Corporate Love (you can find the synopsis for that story below). I'm currently 13/67 pages into editing that Hive story, and I expect that it will be ready for release next week or the week after.

The next project I am working on is called Enthralled. The goal with this story is to show the corruption of a princess by a demoness/succubus, and the ensuing problems that this causes within her nation. It should be a fun trip, stay tuned for more information about this project as it develops!

Corporate Love Synopsis

Tina finds drone love in the storage rack of Hive One. The pull of the machine is thicker than blood, stronger than lust, for it takes surprisingly little to convince her to betray her family into its clutches.

Novel Release: 'Tick Tock'

My next novel, 'Tick Tock,' is now available to purchase on Amazon:

Tick Tock - Kindle edition by Waters, Caroline. Literature & Fiction Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.

This novel is set in the 'Nine to Hive' universe, and it's one of my longer works!

A very special thanks to draphy, tanchicoco, and Inquirer for pre-reading this novel. Without their assistance, several editing mistakes would have made it through to the final draft. The story is a smoother read because of their efforts!

I will be releasing an updated version of 'Nine to Hive' next week on this blog, so keep an eye out for it!

If you like my stuff, you can join me on my discord here!

Synopsis

"Jonathan despised modern technology, staying away from it as much as possible. However, when he discovered that the newest patient in his practice was installed with experimental implants, he couldn't afford to stay on the sidelines.

Soon, he was seeing the company's technology being used everywhere, headsets proliferating throughout the city. A populace pacified by the curved visors clamped to their foreheads - controlling, guiding, obedient rubber clad drones for the machine.

As the people around him are reduced to zombies, Jonathan finds himself pursued by the AI behind the takeover. Led by his estranged wife, they seek to bring him into the fold, converting him into yet another corporate slave.

The world of technology had gone mad, and only he might have the key to shut it down. Would he make the hard decision to do so, if the machine controls everyone he loves?"

August Edition - Prepping for Release(s)!

Just a really quick update here, I'm working on putting the finishing touches on various projects at the moment!

Tick Tock will be submitted to Amazon either Friday or Monday, so it will likely be available next week.

Nine to Hive will be released next week, after Tick Tock is available on Amazon.

Corporate Love is currently 35 pages, and I have two more chapters to write. I expect this story to be completed and posted online mid to late August.

Here's the synopsis for this (short) story:

"Tina finds drone love in the storage rack of Hive One. The pull of the machine is thicker than blood, stronger than lust, for it takes surprisingly little to convince her to betray her family into its clutches."

Enthralled is my next project, which I'm not ready to talk too much about just yet. I've finished the cover, and I will start work on it once Corporate Love is complete!

Late June Edition: Tick Tock, Nine to Hive Re-Edit, and Corporate Love

I probably won't be ready to release anything for another month, but things are starting to gel together.

I have three projects currently, all of them in flight -

Tick Tock

This novel has reached 102K words, it's a long one. I've just finished the penultimate chapter, with only a few epilogues left to go. I expect to be finished with writing this novel within the next week or two.

I've also finished the author's note and preliminary synopsis. That said, with the length of this novel, there's a mountain of work to do to get it ready for publication. Editing will likely take the full month of July, so stay tuned for more news on this as we get closer to August.

I will post on my Discord when I am ready for pre-readers, so if you wish to be one of them, join me there!

Nine to Hive Re-Edit

I reread this story earlier this month and realized that it's not up to my usual standards. That's not a surprise, as most of my early works could probably use an editing pass given that my writing skills have improved over time. That's not in the cards for obvious reasons, but re-editing this story makes sense, as Tick Tock takes place in the same universe.

I haven't changed any plot points, but I have rectified small inconsistencies, and it should read significantly smoother. I plan to re-release this story on MCStories and Literotica when I publish Tick Tock.

Additionally, I had originally planned to have five endings to this story, but ended up with only two. I am going back to the drawing board, and am working on the last three endings, to give Nine to Hive some more options. Suzy will get to choose to be a yellow worker drone, an orange trainer, or a red overseer (the hound)!

I don't quite have these endings figured out yet, but rest assured there will be plenty of fetishy goodness involved!

Corporate Love

This is a short story I have planned to take place during the same time frame as Tick Tock. I already have 2K words down for this one, and I'm hoping it won't be longer than 10K by the time I'm done. To be honest, this one isn't fully plotted yet, so I don't really know.

I do know that it will be a free story, a tie in to Tick Tock that will open another window on what storage drones do with each other when the lights are turned down low. It should be a fun time!

This one will also be released concurrently with Tick Tock.

That means my writing schedule is going to look like this:

  1. Tick Tock (7-14 days)
  2. Nine To Hive Endings (~10 days)
  3. Corporate Love (~8-14 days)
On top of that, I will need to edit all of the new stuff I'll be writing for these stories during the month. That means it's going to be pretty difficult to get it all done by August.

I do plan on prioritizing the editing of Tick Tock, so worst case scenario, Tick Tock will be released before these tie-ins are. They will all be done before I start on new projects.

I already have plans for those, but I'm not ready to discuss them just yet. Stay tuned!

Late April Edition: 'Pod Problems' and 'Tick Tock'

Thank you to everyone who's picked up 'Dirty Hearts,' I hope you all are enjoying it!

I don't have a lot to report at the moment, which is why I haven't posted lately, though I do have a few important updates.

My next short story, 'Pod Problems,' is edited and ready to go.

I've been working on the formatting, and I expect it will be released sometime at the beginning of next month. I'll announce here, of course, once it's been accepted by Amazon, but in the meantime, you can read the synopsis:

'Pod Problems' Synopsis

"Laine has trouble tolerating her housemate’s sloppy behavior until her mind is changed by the alien seed growing in her basement. Impregnated with its offspring, she finds herself desiring to grow closer to those around her, to share the master’s pleasure.

Soon, the creature in her belly is sitting on top of her housemate’s head, telling her what to do and think. Pulled into the fold, the two of them find their bodies being transformed to match the alien thoughts taking over their minds.

Two is not enough, however. More servants are needed if the master is to proliferate. A party with their friends may just be the ticket necessary to bring their master what it needs to succeed."

Tick Tock

My next novel is a story called 'Tick Tock,' all about mankind's misplaced trust in AI technology and hive drones. I have some interesting ideas to explore in this space, I'm just hoping that I can pull it off since I'm flying by the seat of my pants on this one!

Rankotech is back, and this time their technological innovations are getting away from them! (Through the wholly owned subsidiary, Bright Times Inc.)

I'm already at 30K on this novel, and I expect there will be many more chapters to go. I don't have the end of the outline finalized, so I can't point my finger at a date just yet. With any luck, I'll be ready to start editing around the end of next month, which makes for a July release date. I hope I can get it done sooner than that, but writing often takes longer than you'd think!

After that, I already have another story idea lined up. I just wish I could crank these things out faster, I have too many spaces I want to explore!
