I just finished the cover of my next story today - 'The Rubber Order: Sanctification.' You can see it below!
This will be the second entry in 'The Rubber Order' universe, sharing elements from my first 'Rubber Order' novella. None of the same characters will be shared, however, and this is a standalone entry in that universe, so it's not necessary to read the first story to understand this one.
I've struggled a bit with this story so far, as it's definitively not going to be a stroke story. It will be chock full of fetish elements and bondage, but at its heart, it's a thriller, through and through, dabbling a little bit on the horror side of things.
I'm not even certain at this point whether fans of the first novella will like this one, but I'm not going to change directions now!
This go around, the main character will be a failed rubber nun trainee, whose husband accidentally died during rubber bondage training. The events are going to be pretty brutal - this time I'm not holding back any punches.
So far, this story is at about ~34K in, and there are about 3-ish more large scenes to go. That means this will likely also end up novella length like the first one, which pegs it at around a late January release. No promises, of course, but I doubt it should take much longer than that.
After this project is wrapped, I don't have a definite direction to move in, but I have some shorter story ideas down that I would like to take for a drive. Whether those turn into an anthology or something else, I'm not sure as of yet.
What I do know is that I would like to delve back into some hard core squicky stuff - insect parasites, alien monsters, that sort of thing. For fans of erotic horror, these shorts will hopefully scratch that itch.
It just remains to be seen whether I can come up with enough fun plots! I already have one that will work for sure, but I'm not so certain about the others yet.
I'll reveal more about these ideas once I'm closer to the release of this novella, so stay tuned around the same time next month.
In the meantime, a very Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Have a Happy New Year!
