Well, I really did want to get chapter four of Incorporation released this week, but it's proving to be a problem child. I'm almost up to 8000 words now, and I am making some progress on it each day, but it certainly isn't coming fast.
I think if I let it bake one more week, it'll come out pretty solid, so that's what I'm aiming for now. I'm likely on the downhill slope, but it's gonna take at least a few more days before I get to where I want to be with it. It wasn't like the early days where I could get out 800-1000 words a day. Sometimes, that's just how writing works.
After that, I'm still planning on working on an epilogue chapter, but I don't 100% know what that will look like yet. I'll probably need to do a bit of experimentation to nail down the final narrative. I kind of know what it needs to be, but not quite how it should happen yet.
It's bound to be shorter than the other chapters, though, so hopefully it will only take a week to work on before I can move onto other things. I already have a bizarre story about women getting eaten and turned into plants sitting in the back of my mind (yes, I'm sure it looks and sounds strange from the outside, but trust me, it should be pretty hot).
Orthogonally, something happened recently that I've been really excited about. For the first time ever, an artist liked one of my characters enough to make some art of her. I was completely blown away, because that's never happened to me before.
My latex demon maid Sapphis got turned into a complete badass:

Incidentally, if you like Sapphis, she will be showing up again. I was inspired by this art to give her a bigger role in the story, because she is pretty damn cool.
