If you're here, you're likely aware of my works on MC Stories, but were you also aware that I'm on Literotica, as well as DeviantArt?
Yes, it's true, but it's not like it particularly matters, because I haven't exactly been posting anything different on each site, and I've posted almost nothing on Literotica. DeviantArt has mainly acted as my 'archiving good porn on DeviantArt' account (you might want to check it out, there's definitely some good stuff on that site if you're into latex/goth/transformation/corruption stuffs).
And that's unlikely to change in the near future, as all of my spare efforts as far as writing goes have been sucked inside the gigantic machine I currently call 'Robotic Restitution' (Title only tentative). According to my calculations, I've spent a year on this project, and have reached almost 200,000 words. At the very least, this means I have about two novels worth of material.
The novels themselves will consist of a definite Hive theme, a lesbian romance, lots of latex and rubber, body transformations with blue skin, and quite a lot of Dronification, if you're into that sort of thing (and I know at least some of you are).
I would indeed like to sell these as novels, given that I've never been semi-formally published before.
Of course, this means I have to figure out:
- Editing. Since the budget for this is nonexistent, I will probably do this myself, though this means I will have to read everything from cover to cover at least twice, and likely three times - and the quality still won't be the same given that another set of eyes helps you to refine plot devices.
- Cover art. Same as number one. Should I try to hire someone to create the art, requiring me to find someone who has a style I like, or should I try to draw it myself (poor choice), or try to go down the 3d modeling route with a tool like DAZ? Or maybe use a stock photo? I don't think there are many good options here to avoid spending actual money which seems unlikely to be recouped.
- Synopsis. Should be fairly simple, but leads into the next number:
- What to do to avoid being dumpstered by the censors (if that truly is possible for this kind of work?) Amazon being the primary market, it would suck to go through all this effort just to get de-listed. This seems like a 50/50 chance in and of itself.
Given that I expect... not much out of this project, I don't feel free to spend a lot of resources (besides my own time) on it. I suppose that would change if I knew there was guaranteed success around the corner, but success is never guaranteed.
Additionally, I do have a germ of an idea to write a short story in the same universe to plug the novels, so, with any luck, that will be posted on the usual sites before the story drops... but not anytime soon, of course.
That's enough for the first go around, I suppose. I have no regular schedule for updating here, though I imagine I will post more often near the beginning while I have plenty ideas about what to post and I'm feeling fresh. And hopefully this will get me motivated to spend more time on my kinky projects instead of in the shop woodworking.
I will say that if progress is made on the 'great project,' you'll know here first!
