I'm pleased to announce that my newest novel, 'Containment,' has just been released on Amazon!
Rubbery gas mask wearing smoke demons and silvery hive drones abound in this latest outing, with loads of sex and fun transformation scenes. If that's your cup of tea, why not check it out?
Containment - Kindle edition by Waters, Caroline. Literature & Fiction Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.
I've been very hard at work on getting this put together lately, and I finished the editing far faster than I had thought possible!
Please enjoy, and I'll post again another time with news about my next project... but don't expect a month between releases on that one - it just happened to line up that way this time! Cheers!
I am interested in purchasing some of your newer stories, but they don't seem to be on 'Smashwords' yet. Any chance that will change, I refuse to use the other site for personal reasons.
ReplyDeleteBest always - Lisa.
Hi there!
DeleteIt's something I've considered more than once, and I can totally get behind any objections you might have to Amazon's dominance over the industry.
Unfortunately, my experience with publishing on Smashwords was not good, to say the least. It requires more than twice the effort in formatting to accomplish, and that effort was not recouped on the other end.
Additionally, due to Amazon's KENP program requirements, I cannot have a book in that program and also release 'wide' with other publishers.
For a very small indie author like me, the extra revenue from Amazon's KENP program is not particularly large, but the extra metrics it provides me in terms of understanding how popular a particular work has been can be invaluable - since nobody tells me what they like!
I can't say that my mind will never change, and with Smashword's merger with Direct2Digital, perhaps their archaic formatting system will eventually get an update to make it more streamlined. Who knows?
At least for now, for a myriad of reasons, I'm restricted to Amazon. Very sorry!
Apologies for being so late in replying to your response, 'real world' problems interfered. Thank You for your thoughtful and detailed response. Myself I prefer Smashwords because its easier to read stuff on it, when your on a tablet & have limited space not having to screw around with devices is a plus for me (apart from the moral & ethical issues I have with Amazon regardless of device issues). Its a pity but I do understand and appreciate your reasoning, please keep me in mind should that change. Stay safe & healthy, Lisa.
