Mid-Summer Update

It's been awhile, so I thought I'd post an update, as I do have a couple of things to talk about. I have two stories that I'm currently spinning, and although one of them is likely to end up on Amazon, I will probably post the other in the usual places.

The Rubber Order has done fairly well in the KDP program, so that's probably where I'm going to keep future releases, since it's honestly a lot more work to publish on Smashwords, and it isn't really that much more profitable. Anything to reduce the amount of time I'm spending on prep work is honestly worth a lot to me.

I've almost, but not quite made enough money to cover the money I've spent for stock photos to create e-book covers, so the entire process has been a wash financially. That's pretty much what I expected, so I'm not disappointed. If you liked The Rubber Order, however, leave a review! It certainly helps.

My non-smut novel, Hot Pressed, is on hiatus until I can make a cover for it and get it read by a few other people. I'll post more about it here when it's ready to go, but don't expect it any time soon.

The first story I'm working on is called Vanished, and involves a fantasy kingdom. The prince of the kingdom is entirely logical and emotionally broken. He gets continually betrothed to a series of different fiancés, who end up vanishing in mysterious circumstances. His newest fiancée is having seriously disturbing dreams where the master takes control of her in a circus like setting.

At the same time, the kingdom is facing a crises with Calendoria, another nation who is attempting to subvert the High Reaches via the use of Calendorian slave suits, which have the power to turn their victims into latex dolls.

This story is likely to end up on Amazon eventually... I already have 10,000 words to start, but the outline is long so I expect this to be novella length. I originally started this one years ago, so it's nice to dust off what I have and get it moving again.

The second story is titled Incorporation, and although I started it Wednesday, it already has 3,000 words. The germ of the idea for this story came from a dream, as do all of my best tales.

Set in a superhero universe, our heroine is kidnapped by a demoness, and through a dark ritual, is turned into a futa. The demoness keeps claiming that our heroine is her master and insists that she will grow into the role. While our heroine escapes, she finds herself increasingly unable to curb her lust towards her girlfriend as her body begins to transform around her...

From these humble beginnings will come a lot of corruption and sexy shenanigans. I've only written one other futa tale before, and that was fan fiction, so this should be quite interesting.

This tale will likely end up being posted online, and will probably be the first story I complete. The outline is fairly short-ish, so with any luck it won't take more than 30,000 words to tell. It's going to be a pure smut banger, with sex scene after sex scene. Fun times.

The Dud

It's pretty rare for me, but sometimes story ideas just don't work out. I've written the outline, I've thought about it for awhile, and I've decided that the idea just isn't exciting enough for me to write. Since my stories tend to be longer form, it is a large investment to begin on a tale, and if I just don't feel it's worth my time, there's no reason to jump into it.

I can count the instances where this has happened on one hand, but it does happen rarely.

Recently-ish, this happened with a story I tentatively titled Bugged Out. It was an attempt to write some truly squicky stuff, but in the end, it failed to launch.

It's not that it wouldn't make a good yarn, it's just that I couldn't scrape up any excitement around actually writing it. Maybe it's because there's too much human in it - I probably just need to write a squicky story where the motive of the squick agents is unknown. Sometimes I get too deep into the motive of everyone in the story and that prevents me from telling it the way I want to.

Anyway, here's the outline. I haven't included random notes or the list of characters with brief descriptions, but this should give some insight into the process I undertake before I start a story:

  1. Lilly is involved with a gang of smugglers, harvesting vegetation outside the sonic barrier of Grayson’s world.

    1. They circumvent the barrier, going on a gathering trip.

    2. Unfortunate encounter with native wildlife. Lilly is captured by an exoskeleton creature.

  2. They are rescued by a patrol in force.

    1. Lilly is taken to the medical research facility.

  3. Sophia is observing the alien beasts in containment.

  1. This is a female bovine vs the alien creature. It attaches itself to the cow, sucking on its milk. Its jaw fits over the head of the animal, hiding its head. Its ovipositor dangles down below.

  2. The cow looks at her knowingly after it has been infected. It is led out by the research staff.

  3. A more advanced infected subject is led into the chamber. The alien beast has fully integrated with this bovine subject. The staff lead this one in while dressed in full hazmat suits.

  4. The infested creatures attack the wall where Sophia is watching. A swarm of larvae explode from its back, sticking to the wall like leeches.

  5. “How dreadful. Organic creatures can be so inelegant.”

  1. Before she can proceed to the next stage, she is called away.

    1. In her office, she has a conversation with the military governor, Henry O’ Henry.

    2. He wants her to speed up the trials, or funding might be pulled.

      1. Sophia is frustrated because she feels like she is on the cusp of a breakthrough. She has been genetically engineering the local wildlife to create superhuman exoskeletons that spread forcefully and subjugate others.

    3. Resolves to push up her schedule after the conversation.

  2. Back to the experiment cage. Her assistants bring in the prisoner, Lilly, naked and locked to a cart.

    1. “I didn’t mean to, please don’t!”

    2. The punishment is read to her, and the infested animal does its best to try and mount her. They don’t let it, but they’re perfectly happy with letting the larvae get onto the prisoner.

    3. Act closes with a rather gruesome ending - a leech on her neck grows fat with her blood, injecting parasites into her bloodstream.

  3. Change in perspective to Lilly. She has been held until she is completely infested. Indeterminate amount of time.

    1. Ovipositor dangling between her legs

    2. Carapace grown over her head

    3. Belly is growing with eggs that can be implanted

    4. Eggs can be secreted within her throat for hypnotic purposes

    5. The organism she has merged with has enhanced her intelligence and calls her Mother. It is a bit monstrous, gives her extra ‘processing power’ and intelligence, but also bends her thoughts towards supporting and growing more monsters.

  4. Lilly is taken out for testing by Sophia.

    1. Lilly cagily tries to get Sophia to do something that would allow her to get the upper hand, but she fails.

    2. Sophia images Lilly’s growing stomach with an MRI, trying to figure out what the genetically altered alien is doing to her.

    3. Here we can explain the special properties of the aliens of Grayson’s world, parasitic creatures that had limited intelligence until the ‘great’ Sophia decided to uplift them.

    4. Lilly is taken back to her cell, where she plots a breakout.

  5. Swap to Sophia. She is sitting at her terminal, reviewing the scan, trying to figure out how the alien is changing Lilly.

    1. Suddenly, the power goes out. Emergency power snaps on with red lighting, ensuring that the alien organisms can’t escape.

    2. Her terminal going dark, Sophia rushes out into the corridor. The hallway vid screens snap on, the governor announcing that the colony is under attack. He commands them to conceal or destroy important research via an order in the colony handbook.

    3. Sophia is aghast. She cannot abide the idea of abandoning everything she’s worked for.

    4. Before the governor can complete his broadcast, it is interrupted by the leader of the invading aliens, Han’lith. He declares that the colony is now his, and that all of them are his slaves. Anybody who resists will be destroyed. As a demonstration of his power, he destroys the governor’s mansion.

  6. Swap to Lilly. Sophia arrives at her cell and demands that she be converted by the alien creature.

    1. Sophia reasons it’s the only way to avoid being made a slave of the alien invaders. If they work together, they should be able to turn the tables on the invaders.

      1. She knows that once infested, the original infestor has some control over the people that have been infested.

    2. Lilly doesnt accept, but Sofia forces her to, by seducing her and by using some tech she has to control Lilly.

    3. Hot impregnation scene. Sophia is infested. Sophia implies that she has full control.

  7. Swap to Hanlith. He is informed by his search parties that a research lab has been found. He takes his most trusted lieutenant, Salthiss, with him.

    1. When they breach the lab, they are shocked at what they find. The interior has been corrupted by the natural landscape outside the sonic barrier, which their attack has interrupted.

    2. When they are attacked by a swarm of larvae which takes out several of his men, Halith decides to leave and send an attack squad to sterilize the structure and secure the research.

    3. Before they can retreat, Sophia enters.

      1. She is bloated with eggs, the infestation not yet complete. She acts like she controls the place. Attempts to seduce the commander.

      2. When he is not receptive, she attacks. She is stopped by his lieutenant and is wounded.

    4. Lilly enters and forces them all to stop, using the glowing egg in her mouth. She smashes Salthiss against the wall and shoves it down Halith’s throat.

      1. Sophia is rapidly healing and tries to take control, however, she is not the Mother.

      2. Lilly takes control, brute forcing her way through any controls Sophia has built in. Limiters removed, she puts them all under her control.

  8. Lilly, now in command, makes the entire planet hers. She cuts a deal with the military to supply them the military exoskeletons they want, in exchange for leaving them alone. She doesn’t tell the military that she will retain control of them, just in case.
