The Rubber Order is releasing this week

I finally have the text edited and the cover done for "The Rubber Order." I'll be navigating the vagaries of the release process tomorrowish, after which point it will be in Amazon's hands as to whether it is approved or not.

This story has an okay chance of being approved, given that it doesn't have any overt brainwashing in it (though there is some rather heavy bondage based training involved, and perhaps some form of Stockholm syndrome).

I hesitate to promote this story too much in the usual places, because it definitely doesn't follow the work I've done in the past. I've written very little direct M/F sex, though I have been trending in that direction more often as the years pile on.

What's truly a first is the subject matter. I suspect quite a lot of people will find it uncomfortable to mix sex and religious themes, and might reject it simply due to that, but if that happens, that's okay.

This is my way of exploring the intersection between religion and fetish sex. What happens if the the two worlds combine? Can it even work? I think it can.

But what do you think? If you read my story, I certainly would be interested in hearing from you, though I suspect this may definitely not be to the taste of my regular readers.

At any rate, I'll post again if/when it gets accepted.

I won't be publishing this story to Smashwords, at least at the start, because I'm going to trial using Kindle Unlimited with it. Sorry! I might reverse course at some point downstream.

The Cover

This cover was done entirely by me, because for some reason I can't seem to convince myself to pay someone else to do it for me. I think it came out okay, given my limited image editing abilities. I'm definitely better at working with stock photos than I am at making art myself.

Please, please, please, if you're a photographer, use a green background when you take photos of your models. It makes it much, much, MUCH easier to composite them with other images if you do.

The Rubber Order Synopsis

In case you forgot, or if you don't feel like digging, here's the current synopsis for "The Rubber Order" in case you're intrigued:

"Felicia's troubled relationship with her husband was common knowledge. Seeking outside validation, she went on double dates with her friend, Ava, to relieve the boredom. This soon descended into a series of unsatisfying one night stands, until one day they were both abducted by the Rubber Order.

The mysterious nuns of the Order, dressed in fetish latex clothing, purport to be members of the one true faith. When Felicia isn't convinced, they put her through a grueling training program with numerous incentives, including intimate encounters with a man she begins to suspect is secretly her husband. As her friend struggles with her training, Felicia starts to believe that her only way out is to give in.

The highly anticipated ceremony of Pairing is fast approaching, during which all secrets will be revealed."

Hot Pressed

Work is continuing on my fantasy novel. I am currently on page 156 of 255 in the editing process, with progress at about 5 pages per day. I should be done with that in about 20 days, at which point I will need to decide whether it needs more love.

I've given this story to my family members to pre-read, as it's not smut. It is over 100,000 words, though, which means I may have to cut something out to make it work better as a novel.

Stay tuned for more news on this, though I suspect the lag time on getting this released will be longer term.

Other Projects?

I have some ideas, but nothing definite, at the moment. I would like to write a short story in the Rubber Order universe as a bit of advertising, as I think that worked fairly successfully for my other trilogy. That story, since it won't be formally published, can certainly delve more into a... brainwashing sort of story line.

I also have a ton of spin off ideas from the time I spent last summer working on my interactive fiction game. Damn, I haven't really pushed that forward lately, have I? I suppose I lost a lot of motivation when I realized just how large the stupid thing was getting. It really needs a rethink of what I'm trying to accomplish with it before I start work on it again. I suspect the battle system really just needs to be removed so I can lean into the bad endings more, since I do have a fair amount of content already.

Well, given where that's at, it's more likely that I'll pick up something to write next. I would like to write a short story that can be posted on MCStories and Literotica, I think. Something suitably weird. Maybe it will have something to do with mind-controlling insect aliens, or the Queen of Chains, or something else. I'm not sure yet.
