Week End Update: All Engines Firing! Edition

Desaturated Detente

For a story with a target of 12,500 words, I'm getting close to smashing that barrier already. So far, I'm around 12,000 words, and there's at least another two bulky scenes that need to be written - likely another 5,000 words before I hit completion.

This will definitely be over the top of what I've been commissioned for, but over delivering doesn't bother me if it ties up the story neatly.

All that remains, really, is to have a few sessions training Supergirl, and then this story will be completed. It seems likely to me that I'll have this wrapped up by the end of the week, which would be nice, because I have so many other ideas on the docket!

Fallen Destiny

This has been on my mind for quite some time, and with a free day, I finally got a chance to write it. I've been a fan of the fallen fairy, mother D worm, and expand bee in 'Fallen Fairy' since I first noticed the game, so it was fun to dabble in that universe.

The readers on Literotica so far haven't enjoyed it, but oh well. Perhaps they are not futanari aficionados.

At least another story is off my backlog!

Robotic Restitution

I've finished editing the fifth chapter, so there's only one chapter remaining to edit! With the cover art finished except for some tweaking, I put this at a 90% chance that it will release this week. Now that I have the procedure written up for epublishing, I expect I won't need an extra week to get this formatted and released.

Look forward to it!

I've been thinking about what the cover for the last book should look like, but I haven't done any sketches yet. I'll have to tease out what this should be further before I commit to it.

The Future

I'm trying to figure out what to do this week. Since I'll still be working hard on getting Desaturated Detente finished up, I won't have anything to post! Either I need to write another short story, or I need to dip back into my well of old porn to talk about things I like.

Or, perhaps, I'll just get my second book published, and announce it. Doesn't that sound like a good idea? :)

  1. Hello,
Just wanted to pop in to say that you’re doing a great job. I loved the starfish story idea for the game that you were thinking of making. I wish that you had made that into a full-length story of its own. Also, I wanted to pass along a great video I found last month. I was wondering if you had already seen it? It’s a short sci-fi film called Ruptured and fits perfectly into the squicky genre.

Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

    1. The idea for the game is not 'dead', per se, I do have a complete page of notes for it. I still really like the idea, but as long as I'm pushing forward with my regular writing, I really don't have time for it.

HTML is a great engine for display, but not so great for tracking game state - it would have to be javascript based to make it work in the browser, and that's the pits.

Also, there's something about Twine that really bothers me, probably because it doesn't really support the idea of having a game hub where you make decisions about what to do.

No, I don't have an idea for something that would work better at the moment. Would probably have to be custom, and I'm not really interested in taking on that kind of project.

I'd really like it to be illustrated, but I don't have the skills at all... would require a large outlay and a willing artist, something I'm not willing to do, either.

I'm currently seriously considering cooling it with the blog next year so that I will have time to work on other projects, writing or otherwise. We'll see how I feel at the end of the year! :)

I just watched Ruptured... the idea is amusing, at least, though the kind of horror it engenders doesn't really get my creative juices flowing! Yikes, spikes in the ears, no good! But if you went with permanently attached connected points, that would be more fun. :)
