Dirty Hearts
This seems like a good time for an update, though there's not a whole lot to show yet, really!
So far, I'm at the back half of writing chapter six of 'Dirty Hearts,' and there's about six more chapters plotted. I'm at about 30K words, so I'm roughly guessing I'm close to being half done. It's an inexact science, so I can't say for certain whether it will be a novella or a novel - it kind of depends on how long it takes to tell the story I want to tell.
At my current rate of progress, unless something changes drastically, I'm looking at a mid to late February completion date, with a release sometime in March. These things are always subject to change, of course, but I'll keep this blog up to date based on what happens.
I've also created the cover for 'Dirty Hearts,' so that obstacle is out of the way, at least!
I find it annoying to hold onto material that's ready for release, but it really does seem like the best option. I'd like to have 'Soldiers of Darkness' fresh in everyone's mind when they read 'Dirty Hearts,' and I'd like to be able to direct readers of 'Dirty Hearts' to go read 'Soldiers of Darkness,' so getting them lined up to go out at about the same time just makes sense.
Doll Factory Feedback
Many thanks to the reader who gave me a review on 'Doll Factory!' I write so much, I'm afraid going back to write a sequel to one of my old series is pretty unlikely, unless I get a great idea that fits into that universe.
I'll probably be writing something to do with rubber dolls again at some point in the future, I'm sure, but it probably won't be in that universe.
However, 'Doll Factory' is looking like it will be my bestseller at some point this year, which means it's probably a good candidate for a free giveaway. I don't recall at what time I did that last year for Sky Trained, but I think I might do it during the release of 'Dirty Hearts' or maybe the next release - not sure, yet!
Other Misc. Happenings
I've gotten various comments that it would be nice to have a Discord or a tip jar. The former is something I'll seriously consider, though to be honest, I don't spend a lot of time using my alt account on there, so I may not be as active as I'd like.
The latter seems like a bit of a hassle, since Ko-fi/Patreon/etc. don't support these kinds of erotic works. I would have to look into using Subscribestar, I think, which would be okay, but in my current health condition, I'm nervous trying to put something together.
You see, I never want to promise something I'm not sure I'll be able to deliver on, and given my terrible health scare in October, I don't want to get too deep into something where I might disappoint anybody with my inability to perform.
Anyhow, I'm not crossing it off the list, but if this year is any better than last year, I'll definitely look into it! (Spoiler alert, so far this year has been just as miserable as last year for me!)
